About the Foundation
GROW Decatur County Foundation became an affiliate of Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation in November 2016 upon establishing their newly formed community foundation. An affiliate is a collection of community funds to increase philanthropic giving in a geographic area. Both endowed and non-endowed funds are developed to provide financial support to 501(c)(3) and other qualifying nonprofit organizations and for charitable purposes to benefit area residents.
Their logo “GROW” stands for Growing Rural Opportunities Within; a motto they feel very strongly about and have a passion to pursue for the betterment of Decatur County. GROW Decatur County Foundation gives residents an opportunity to invest in their community through wills, trusts, life insurance and gifts. It benefits the giver, the gift is forever and every dollar is used to benefit Decatur County.

Keep 5 in Kansas
We have an opportunity in Decatur County to turn our hopes for the future into reality! If we capture a portion of the transfer of wealth from one generation to the next – even just 5% – by setting up endowments through the GROW Decatur County Foundation, we could provide a permanent source of funding for our local organizations and causes that will greatly improve the lives of the residents of Decatur County.
