OCCF Finishes Up Fall Grant Cycle
The Osborne County Community Foundation approved $40,214 in grants at the close of their 2023 Fall grant cycle. These grants were made possible by the generous donors of Osborne County, the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, and most recently, a grant from the Patterson Family Foundation. The next open grant cycle will be Jan. 1-Feb. 29, 2024. Nonprofit organizations with 501c3 status, government and public entities, educational institutions, and churches are encouraged to apply.

· Downs Arts Council – 2024 Kansas Storytelling Festival Programming
· Downs Community Connection – Roadside Park Upgrades/Beautification
· Downs Community Connection – Osborne County Memorial Day Spectacular Livestock Show
· Downs United Methodist Church – Automated external defibrillator and anti-choking device
· Downs United Methodist Church – Downs Ministerial Association Community Food Bank
· Grace Brethren Church SHINE – 4thAnnual Soul Infusion Women’s Retreat
· Heart Choices – Laptop for Osborne location
· USD 272 Lakeside Schools – Lakeside Jr. High Young Ameritowne 2023
· USD 272 Lakeside Schools – Lakeside Senior Class Educational Trip to Washington D.C.
· USD 392 – Automated external defibrillator and anti-choking device
· USD 392 – Wrestling equipment
· The Bull City Community Foundation in Alton received a $10,000 Osborne County Infrastructure Partnership Grant. Each town in Osborne County is eligible to apply for up to $10,000 to assist the community with infrastructure/housing needs specific to each community.
